Why finding the right ring size is important

Accessories like rings define your personal style, so it's essential to choose which finger to place your ring and what size. It's important to find a ring that fits comfortably on your finger, as you'll be wearing it every day.

You want the ring to fit snug below the knuckle, but able to go over the knuckle. In time and wear your ring will loosen in size - form to your finger like it belongs there!

There are a few different ways to figure out your ring size. You can measure your finger with a tape measure, or you can use a ring sizer tool chart we have here.

What different ring finger placements mean

The ring finger is the third finger on the hand, and is referred to as the "ring finger" where the ring is traditionally worn. In ancient Roman times, fiancé's wore the engagement ring on the left ring finger, since it was believed that a vein in the finger ran directly to the heart. The ring finger is associated with creativity and artistic ability. In some cultures, the ring finger is thought to be lucky.

The middle finger is the tallest finger on the hand. It is the finger with the most personality that represents independence and strong willfulness and is associated with power. It is the statement finger!

The index finger is the first of all fingers to be stained with ink. This means that it's associated with strength, assertiveness, ambition, and goals - not surprising considering this was where most ancient medieval European men put their rings!

The little finger is the smallest finger on the hand. Often a gangster's favourite finger for a ring!  It is associated with playfulness, mischief, flirtatious, intelligent, quick-witted, and being mysterious. This ring placement is a bit edgy and masculine.

The thumb is the shortest and most dominant finger on our hands. Known as "the economists" due to its versatility like counting money or making calculations, or 'the master' due in part to how well we can communicate through sign language using the thumb! The presence of a ring on your thumb says that you're outgoing, extroverted, spontaneous and possess an alternative mindset. It can be considered also an arty look.

Of course, there are many other ways to interpret the meaning of ring finger placement. These are just a few of the most common interpretations.
